Mr Zen declares a 'Climate Emergency'
Responsibility
58% of travellers believe sustainability is an important factor when making travel choices, yet tourism is responsible for 8% of the world’s carbon footprint... this figure rapidly increasing.
We believe that ignoring climate change goes against our business values and that urgent action needs to be taken before it is too late.
Since we have always been a part of the travel industry, and we acknowledge the industry's responsibility towards our environment, we would like to announce that we declare a ‘Climate Emergency’ alongside many other travel industry leaders.
Our Pledge
We pledge to join the advocacy for a system change across the industry, calling for urgent regulatory action to accelerate the transition towards zero carbon air travel.
As part of our pledge, we commit to:
- Developing and publishing a 'Climate Emergency' plan and announcing our progress each year. This will be developed within the 12 month guideline.
- Actively encouraging our clients and suppliers to take the same pledge and assisting where we can with actively reducing their carbon footprint.
- Taking immediate action to offset our own carbon footprint by supporting climate projects, offsetting staff travel and any relevant events that we partake in.
